A rainy day today. I'm still waiting on my team to find out what they doing today. I can't wait for the awards ceremony!! :)

Final presentation

My group is preparing for the final presantation tommorow. Hope things goes well and hopefully that our team won. I also can't wait for the awards cermonery on Wednesday!!!

The hours are counting down. Me and Amy are at Harlem Live putting our last few touches of the presentation together. I can feel that this is going to be successful.

These past weeks at Harlem Live have been full of experiences.

This summer has been really special. Especially thanks to the people on this TEAM .

-Quativea: The Harlem Girl ! She has been the one to always have to group calm down after rowdy conversations. I have never meet a such a funny clown as her. She ( & shaq ) were the main ones who made our presentations HOT & fun. W/ this girl I have not only met a Good Teamate, but also a good friend ( & hot some Harlem Swag Tipss . LOL ! )

- Amy: The GRANDMA " Are you going to pick that up " followed by " Dont litter". You cant help but to love this girl . As a team co-leader, she held her grounds in all the right places, and more sure the team stayed organized & chaos free.

-Shaquille: Everyones Bestie. The funny Guy. "Shaq Daddy". He always kept humor within a conversation. No matter how intense moments got. Even with his broken leg, and dentist appionments, he still always come through for this team when needed.

-Jenelle: The Researcher. The smartest girl on this team ( to my eyes ) . The shy but also Funny ! oh so Funny . She has such a spirit, and it can only be seen within this team. I learned so many things from her.

-Lilly: My twin <3>

-Vernel: We had our times but in the end, your still cool. Today we had a bonding experience, and your a really interesting person. Lol. Maybe if the summer was a bit longer we could of progressed into a friendship.

-Anthony: -_- . . . Joking. Even though you say im mean, and you go get my Coffee we still have love. You are like everyones little brother on this team. And I loved how you picked up Video. You are the only person who actuatly got the technique of Shooting video footage. Now all you need to do is edit and you'll be as good as me. LOl . Jk. But nah, through the hard times, and your attitudes having you on this team taught everyone a lesson about patience.

August 10th, 2010

Today Our team are writing their drafts for their speech for Friday. Since this Friday is the last presentation, everyone on the team has to give a speech of the,selves. Honestly, I am nervous to speak in front of the judges but I have the confident to do so. Today, we're suppose to do a practice presentation that mainly focuses on our speeches. Hopefully everything goes well and everyone is prepared to do so.

Yesterday, I attended the Northern Lights company and was exposed to the commercial world. I thought it was a blow-minding experience being there. The company itself does commercial for various TV channels and companies. We were expose to the different parts that makes a commercial. The department that interested me the most was the audio part. I didn't realize all of the work and time and effort it took to make a 10 second commercial. The audio control is a huge responsibility because it pretty much depicts how the commercial is going to sound on TV's around the world. Visiting this company would be a experience that i would NEVER forget; although I plan to have a science career, the audio commercial department made me have second thoughts about my career choices =)

Three days before presentation

Today all the teams are going to practice the speeches for the last presentations. My team members are preparing their speeches in order to practice today at 3:00 pm.

Today is the beginning of a very busy week. We have to have a rehearsal presentation tomorrow for Friday. Friday is the last presentation so it's going to be the most important one. It is behooved of the team to work hard and do what we have to do so that we can have a chance to be in first place. We also are working on articles and other videos so that we can put it on the website. This week, we are going to do the best we can.

So Friday we won ! I was surprised. Its crazy because none of us was in the mood of going and we were on the verge of giving up. But we didn't and I'm happy because we won ! Tomorrow we need to dress up all nice because theres going to be a dress rehearsal for fridays presentation. Oh man, i dont know what to do to my hair, what to wear! I hate dressing all formal if it's not for parties, but I mean i gotta do what i gotta do right? Today we're working on Friday's presentation since it's the last one and the most important because we win 3000 points. Well, im off this !

finally back on track ; meaning here on time and ready too work had a little 3 day vacation ihurt my pinky toe plus my teeth got molded for them retainer things ; omgahhh lol it was fun thou its hot in this shit thou ughhh !

August 5th 2010

Today was a hectic day. We found out our topic was taken so we had to change it. We thought of it quickly and its actually turning out nice. Dacia is a beast with videos!!!!!! I finished two stories this week ..woohoo ! One is offically done and the other one is in the process of editing. I finished the HarlemRBI story halfway just need a few more paragraphs and I am DONE ! I cant wait for tomorrows presentation i hope we win. Jenelle and I will be working on an eco-friendly story, i am so happy because..woohoo GO GREEN !Well anyways, goodbye !

Trying to resolve the problems

Today, the we had some problems with our topics because we got everything prepare for our presentation on Friday; however we had to change our topics because another group had the same topics as us. But fortunately we found another topic in which we could work on. OK aqui entre nos, this is so hard try to find new topics one day before presentation.

Wednesday the 4th

OMG.........how time fly's by fast. We have 2 or 3 weeks left!! Today my team is probability doing POS's and we are preparing for our presention on Friday which is about any topic we want. Hope it goes well!!

So far this week, things are getting better. We're getting more stories and videos done. I completed a neighborhood story and I'm ecstatic because it was my first one. I'm working on two more stories that I can hopefully finish one by Thursday's deadline for point sheets. The days are getting closer to the last presentation. This week's presentation is a topic of our choice and I think we're going to do pretty good on that...I Hope. We lost last Friday so we are defeated but we're fine by that. I hope today we get a lot of POS' done and I finish my story.

Thinking what to do

Hi today the Blue team is not doing any pos; however we are preparing everything for our presentation on Friday. i'm trying to get information about the topic i will talk about.

August 3rd

Helllllllooooooo, BLOG ! today is august 3rd and I have to work extremely hard today :/ Amy and I have to work on our HarlemRBI article. If I don't come up with at least two paragraphs by the end of the day, I will have to face the wrath of Amy Nicole Ross, yikes ! But I GOT THIS ! Also, Dacia is finishing up the HarlemRBI video. It is coming out very nice. Well, we about to be out to lunch, catch ya later.

Hi today the team meat together in the kitchen in order to talk about what we were going to do this day. the team shared some of the topics about something that we like to write about or something that we can do an interview with. during the afternoon, we went to Downtown to do a pos. we enjoed the interviews and had fun as a team. then like at 4:00 we came back to HarlemLive.

P.O.S

Today a couple of us went to do POS's around Bryant park. I did a few of the P.O.S's. I asked a man how he felt about second hand smoke, the BP oil spill and using resusable bags at the store instead of plastic bags. I felt that the interview was very intersting beacause the interviewee had some interesing answers and views about teh questions that I asked him. This was the second P.O.S I did and it wasn't as nerve-racking as the first one. I enjoyed doing the P.O.S and I hope I get to do more P.O.S's in the future.

The past few days

Hello everybody! It's a while since I wrote a blog. I did so many things. On Thursday me along with a few went on the NBC tour. It was fantastic!!!! They showed us different studios including Saturday Night Live. We also met the senior vice president of NBC. Friday was the presentation and we won 2nd place yay! I am not disapointed there is always next week. Today my team did a POS at Bryant Park. We had a fun time!
